Unfortunately, for some reason Disney is releasing this in full screen 1.33:1, when it was originally created at 1.66:1. This is not only my favorite Disney movie ever, but it is my favorite movie ever - and I've been excited ever since hearing about this re-release hoping that I would finally get to see the movie in widescreen for the first time since its 1988 theatrical re-release. It looks like I'll have to wait at least another 5 years for that possibility. Maybe we'll get a 30th Anniversary HD version, who knows?
Anyway, what this release does include is a Sing-Along, Games & Activities, a DVD Storybook, an Art Gallery, the featurette "Passing The Baton" -- Golden Age Animators And The New Breed, and a couple of Bonus Classic Shorts - "Lambert The Sheepish Lion" and "Lend A Paw". Undoubtably there will be a preview for the direct-to-video sequel, The Fox and the Hound 2.
You can find more information, and pre-order the movie, at the The Fox and the Hound: 25th Anniversary Edition DVD page.
