Upcoming DVD Releases
It looks like 2007 will receive 2 Platinum Edition DVDs, with The Jungle Book coming first in February, 2007. The film is currently available as a featureless Limited Issue DVD. Also making the transition to 2-Disc Platinum Edition in October 2007 is 101 Dalmatians, also currently available as a near-featureless Limited Issue DVD

Other 2007 releases will include the direct to video sequels, Tinker Bell and Cinderella III. A re-release of Peter Pan is quite possible sometime to help promote Tinker Bell.
Also, later this year you can look forward to a Special Edition release of Dumbo on June 6th, 2006, and Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure on June 20th, 2006.

Addition: Since this news article was published, the schedule has flipped for The Jungle Book and 101 Dalmatians Platinum Edition DVDs. Now 101 Dalmatians is scheduled to come out February, 2007, and The Jungle Book is scheduled to come out October 2007.
